2019 - Collaborative work at the Iceland Academy of the Arts

In this class, we were to acquire the knowledge and skills to analyse a particular aspect of a defined community, which this time was Grindavík, a small village in Reykjanes by the sea and the surrounding area. Then we applied design techniques to change these elements and improve them. We undertook research work, interdisciplinary collaboration of creative design work, and dissemination. My group decided to start with a thorn plant that grows near Grindavík and create a product from it. Thornbushes grow very well in this windy area that is Reykjanes. It is also very nutritious and has many good properties, so we created a product line from this plant.
